Meet Strength Coach Claire

Who am I?  And why should you listen to me?

Hi! I am Strength Coach Claire and I am UK-based Coach and Personal Trainer

​

Formerly a competitive Olympic weightlifter and powerlifter up to international level, I turned my attention to coaching shortly after completing my PhD in medicinal chemistry - I decided working for the pharmaceutical industry was not for me and I preferred to use my skills to help people in a more holistic way - through the power of lifting heavy stuff! 

​

Since then, I have worked with a number of clients from a myriad of different backgrounds, but with my strength and depth of knowledge of 'the big five' (snatch, clean+jerk, squat, bench press, deadlift) I have carved out a niche for myself helping women in their 40s and 50s to use the power of strength training to improve their hormonal symptoms, mood, and health outcomes as they navigate their perimenopause and menopause.

​

My mission is to help women to end the obsession with calorie counting and gassy, sweat-inducing training session, and instead focus on BUILDING strength and muscle to fend off age-related decline and actually enjoy the process again.
